AMCO Proteins is looking for a dynamic Material Planner that thrives in a team environment. This individual will be directly responsible for all material management functions including, but not limited to; production/demand planning, inventory management, and the movement and allocation of raw materials and finished goods to meet the company objectives and customer requirements. For over 60 years AMCO Proteins has been manufacturing and developing protein ingredients for customers in the food, beverage, and nutrition markets. Essential Job Functions:

Inventory Management

  • Responsible for the awareness, accuracy, and Inter-Company movement of all raw materials and finished goods.   
  • Management of all incoming materials including vendor communication, logistics, document review, warehouse communication, and ERP system management.
  • Management of all third-party toll processors.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure on-time production and order fulfilment.
  • Responsible for the allocation of finished goods to sales orders.
  • Responsible for making any/all inventory adjustments within with ERP System.
  • Involvement in annual physical inventory count.

Demand Planning

  • Execute demand planning processes designed to drive production and ensure adequate inventory levels to meet sales forecasts.
  • Responsible for the management and communication of the production schedule.
  • Active communication with the Vice President on raw material requirements needed to meet forecasted demand.

Job Management

  • Responsible for production job creation, material allocation, paperwork review, post-production verification and job closing processes. 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of demand planning and inventory management.
  • Experience utilizing ERP / MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment where communication is critical to the overall success of the organization.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemical Operator. Our company, American Custom Drying (ACD), is in Burlington, NJ and has been in business for more than 50 years. We provide contract manufacturing and toll processing services for the food and chemical industries. ACD specializes in custom spray drying, powder blending and milling. Our customers’ tolling projects include market trials, pilot runs, process development and full commercial production campaigns. Their primary focus is on the food ingredient and technical chemical product markets.

Job Functions:

  • Operator will oversee all production activities and assure that they are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Specific job functions include to follow procedures for system start-up, operation, shutdown, cleaning, and batching Mixing chemical and food batches, monitoring and sampling in accordance with SOPs.
  • Recording process and production data
  • Troubleshooting dryer processes (work closely with Supervisors and Engineers in troubleshooting problems)
  • Assisting with routine maintenance and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Overseeing clean-up of entire dryer system between products and instructing material handlers during the cleaning process.

Qualifications (not all necessary but favourable):

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 55 pounds, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Experience in manufacturing – operating or material handling.
  • Experience with PLCs
  • Forklift certification
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including wet mixing, or batching.
  • Knowledge of clean rooms and cGMP
  • Ability to work off-shifts, overtime, and/or weekends.
  • Proficient in computer programs – Microsoft Word and Excel

 Schedule: 10-hour shift, 12-hour shift, Day shift, Night shift, Overtime, Weekend availability.

American Custom Drying has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic in its Burlington, NJ facility. The company has been in business for more than 50 years and provides contract manufacturing services to the Food and Soft Chemical markets.

The Maintenance Mechanic ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems. Must be willing to work on weekends and/or be on call for emergency maintenance repairs when required.

Job Functions:

·        Mechanical ability to work on pumps, piping, bearings, conveyors, mixers, and other plant equipment.

·        Welding skills using stick and tig. Welding on stainless steel and carbon steel. Repairs and fabrication of food grade equipment and piping.

·        Able to work well with and communicate with all plant teams to optimize plant operations.

·        Experience working with a preventative maintenance program.

Qualifications:

·        High School Diploma or GED preferred

·        Formal Engineering/Maintenance Training desired

Schedule: 10-hour shift, 12-hour shift, Weekend availability. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator Trainee. Our company, American Custom Drying (ACD), has been in business for more than 50 years. Job Functions:

  • Physically able to fill, lift, move and palletize up to 55 lb. bags throughout the shift.
  • Work up to 12 hours at a time in both wet and dry production environments.
  • Dismantle, clean, and assemble production equipment correctly and in an organized manner.
  • Inspect finished product and raw materials for quality standards staged, palletized, cleaned, labelled correctly.
  • Assure that work areas are clean and organized at times.
  • Assure that finished products are packaged to the highest standard of quality.
  • Fill out relevant paperwork and production logs.
  • Follow Plant Rules posted throughout production, including appropriate use of PPE.
  • Follow all Company, Safety, OSHA, GMP and ISO rules.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Be willing to work various shifts from time to time.


Qualifications (not all necessary but favourable):

  • Experience in manufacturing-material handling
  • Ability to work off-shifts, overtime, and/or weekends.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift 55 pounds, climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to pass drug screening, physical and background check.
